This service coordinator role is pivotal in enabling the Plastics, Breast and Burns Directorate toprovidea high-quality,comprehensiveand professional clinical and administrative service to patients, relatives,carersand other internal and external stakeholders.

A significant element of the role is coordinating available workforce and supporting clinical services toprovidetimelydelivery of clinical care. The role will suit an individual seeking a challenging but very rewarding role in the NHS.


The post holder will oversee and manage the scheduling of all clinical resources to ensure patients can be booked for their procedures and surgery across the directorate in a timely and efficient way.

The role will require working in close collaboration with the operational managers and the outpatient services manager to coordinate the provision of clinical care to all patients under the care of the Plastics, Breast and Burns Directorate.


The post requires someone who will excel in ensuring that resources are available and deployed to provide high standards of service in a patient-centred environment.

To support the business functions of the directorate we are looking for an individual who will understand the importance of supporting the delivery of financial, activity, waiting list and waiting time targets.

You must be experienced in line managing direct reports as you will provide line-management and leadership to the medical secretarial team.
