Key Responsibilities
To handle a wide range of administrative tasks within the charity which the applicant must be able to organise and prioritise.
The main tasks and responsibilities include:
- Carrying out preemployment checks and onboarding activities of new starters
- Assisting with the training of new employees
- Answering any employee enquiries
- Creating and updating HR paperwork (contracts of employment / variations to contracts)
- Overseeing employee holiday and sickness records
- Maintain and update the HR databases with all staff changes including new starters and leavers, ensuring the correct data is entered
- Maintaining and auditing staff files
- Leaver processes
- Support with payroll administration
- Minute taking at trustee meetings
- Liasing effectively with other departments & managers
- Work closely with our HR advisor to update & distribute updated paperwork
- Additional administration support and duties that are required in line with the job role
The applicant should be an exceptional coordinator who can work on multiple projects at once, from onboarding a new employee to scheduling training for existing employees.
A high degree of professionalism and discretion is required and the applicant must know how to represent both the charities policies and the needs of the employees.
Person Specification
- Previous experience in an HR administrator role
- Proficiency with MS Office packages, Excel etc
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
