Description
Applicants must be competent, professional drivers who are reliable and have relevant licence and checks for Class 3 driving. Previous driving experience is ideal for this role with a good understanding of Drivers hours and regulations. The role will include heavy lifting and always working as part of a team. Hours of work are 07:00 - 17:00/18:00 Mon-Fri with some weekend work. Job share options will be considered.


A full UK HGV Class 3 licence is required for this position.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • To drive 7.5 tonne lorries
  • To load and unload goods for delivery and collection
  • Manual handling
  • To undertake the necessary daily checks using company vehicle checklists.
  • To conform to all applicable site rules when offloading and loading at customer and supplier sites
  • To act as an ambassador on behalf of the Company, ensuring that the client is treated courteously and respectfully and that their requirements are complied with, where safe to do so

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:


  • HGV Class C3 licence and 13 years corporate driving experience is desirable
  • Competent, professional, reliable
  • Able to carry out multidrop deliveries including manual handling
  • Driver CPC card
  • Digi Tachogragh card
  • Clean driving licence, or maximum of 6 points but no DD, TT, DR, CD
  • Good understanding of drivers' hours and regulations

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months
