Position Summary


As a Market Development Representative for SPIT in the UK, your core responsibility will be generating 'bottom-up' demand for SPIT product with contractors and end users in the drywall & electrical markets.


This role is in charge of devising and following strategies to generate sales leads and identify new business opportunities for the product/brand, which can then be backlinked to a channel preference of the customer.

Utilising various tactics of your choosing,you will reach out to clients through digital, events, phone, site and the strength of a growing network, including existing channel partner sales teams.

Offering products and services, securing sales and client satisfaction. You may also arrange appointmentsto discuss product specifications and even negotiate service agreements or brand overturns. This will culminate into a pipeline of new business and growing/expanding customers loyal to the SPIT brand.


Furthermore, as a Market Development Representative, you will support the wider team to address issues and concerns from contractors, resolving them promptly and efficiently to ensure the strength of the service value proposition to the market, and the subsequentstrength of the SPIT brand.


Primary responsibilities:


  • Achieve sales growth and product targets
  • Have an aggressive sharegain mindset
  • Generate bottomup demand for SPIT product at a contractor/end user level in both our core markets of Electrical and Drywall fixing
  • Be a SPIT Brand ambassador to our end users and channel partner sales teams, building strong relationships with key decision makers
  • Provide market insight feedback & fieldbased support of both sales and marketing initiatives
  • Support key channel partners where necessary and provide an excellent customer experience
  • Identify areas of risk from competition
  • Identify training needs for own personal development
  • Ensure the health and safety of yourself and others in your work environment
