Reed Finance are delighted to be partnering with a growing private equity backed real estate firm based in London to recruit for them their next Financial Controller.

This Financial Controller role will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and reporting requirements of the organisation to ensure they meet their financial obligations.

Further to this, this Financial Controller role will be a key leadership role in the team, given the right person the opportunity to business partner with the executive whilst supporting the Finance Director numerous funding related tasks.

The right Financial Controller will ideally have an audit background so comes with strong technical accounting knowledge and have at least 2-3 years industry experience ideally within real estate.

Key Day to Day Responsibilities:

Be main key technical resource for the finance team in preparing management & financial accounts
Supervision of the production of the yearend financial statements in accordance with IFRS
Business partner with executive & manage the Head Office entity's budget/forecast
Oversee the capital expenditure of new & existing projects including forecasting and cashflow
Run month end variance analysis meeting present results to the Finance Director
Take ownership of the developing the monthly management suite, new reporting tools (Power BI) and driving productivity across the finance function
Supervise payables, receivables and payroll functions and of all regulatory obligations such as HMRC payments and fillings and same for German entity
Manage audit process and relationships with external auditors and outsourced tax & accounting providers
Direct line management of Financial Reporting Manager & Financial Accountants
Responsible for dealing with insurance policies and internal controls
Deputised for the Finance Director when absent or on leave

Key Qualifications & Experience required:

Must be a fully qualified Accountant with significant post qualified experience between 35 years ideally ACA/practice trained but ACCA or CIMA will be considered
Strong technical accounting background is a must
Audit background will be view upon very favourably
Real Estate experience with knowledge of IFRS 1
Must display strong accuracy in cashflow forecasting and month end close procedures.
Must be able to operate well within a dynamic business and go above and beyond when required.
Experience ensuring audit is completed on time, previous business has mínimal overspends and no late payments or fines.

Benefits of the role:

This role will be paying circa £75,000 per annum plus a discretionary bonus with 27 days leave, hybrid working, private healthcare and parental leave plus other benefits.

This company needs someone who is happy to go above and beyond the scope of the role and coming into the office 3 days a week in return for development to Head of Finance in the future._
