An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed Chartered Surveyor to lead the Council's Commercial Estates Team, overseeing the management of the investment portfolio and to contribute towards improving its performance.


The Council's significant and varied investment portfolio makes an important contribution towards generating income for the Council and meeting its ambitious regeneration targets.

Reporting to the Manager for Asset and Estate Management, you will be responsible for delivering a high quality, efficient and effective property management service including new lettings, rent reviews, lease renewals, service charge management, easements, valuations and general estates management issues.

The successful applicant will be a member of the RICS with extensive commercial estates management and valuation experience.

Being a Registered Valuer is highly desirable, though not essential as you will be eligible to register through the Council's scheme.


You will have a commercial approach with excellent communication, organisational and planning skills, as well as good IT abilities and strong financial awareness.
