Description

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience in research grant writing and good knowledge of research funding streams.

With your experience, you will help grow our research portfolio and profile.

This role requires an organised, self-motivated, enthusiastic and confident person, who is able to work flexibly with many different people and to rise to new challenges.

You will be part of a research team that prides itself on supporting one another.

The main duties of this role will include
- literature searches and other scoping work
- identifying suitable funding streams
- facilitating patient and public involvement
- identifying suitable parties and coordinating their involvements
- working with Trust and external finance teams to collate costs
- attending meetings and being a point of contact for staff and potential co-applicants
- support set-up of the research
- write reports for funders and papers for publication
- develop the portfolio and profile of the department
- provide expert advice and support
- build and maintain relationships, internally and externally, to provide more research opportunities for patients, carers, service users and staff
- represent the Trust at key stakeholder meetings
- work autonomously and manage your own workload
- lead and manage projects
- identify and recruit service users and carers eligible to take part in a range of projects and provide information, care, support and advice on all aspects of their involvement in research/clinical trials
