Our client a leading quantitative systematic trading firm, operating in all liquid asset classed around who now require a Production engineer to join the team.

This role will involve supporting trading platforms on multiple OS environments including Windowsand Linux.

The production Engineer will be required to provide prompt user support for the investigation and resolution of any system issues which will impact front office trading flows.

Production Engineer Responsibilities:

Support trading platforms on Windows and Linux
Ensure all components are up and running before the start of each trading day
Coordinate with fronttoback teams for resolutions
Support the release management process ensuring stability of the production environment
Maintenance and support of static databases and supporting processes
Develop tools to continually improve the ability to monitor the trading environment.

Production Engineer Requirements:

2+ years of Bash, Command Dos, PowerShell or Python scripting
3+ years in a support role
Excellent problem solving and highly effective business analytics capabilities required
Focus on ownership of issues and commitment to resolving them
High level of Linux OS experience
Expert in relational database skills (SQL Server, Postgres)
Experience of managing the expectations of front office traders and senior management is desirable
Knowledge of Equities, Futures, Commodities and FX asset classes is an advantage
