We are working with a Trade Finance specialist banking organisation who hold a formidable portfolio of Financial Institutions in the MENA region.

You will be joining the front office Trade and FI team as a Junior Relationship Manager to manage the bank'sclients and the expand/retain existing relationships.


As a Junior RM you will be responsible for developing and executing relationship plans for existing clients; this includes effectively collaborating with clients, client support and product teams as well.

Speaking
Arabic and French are mandatory languages required for this role.


Business development and relationship management

  • Understands stakeholders key relationship to insure to cover them up during their absence (business trips, holidays.).
  • Maintains and grows a profitable book of business through disciplined and proactive business development and relationship management.
  • Develops an indepth knowledge of the bank's products and services. Analyses the needs of clients in order to effectively recommend appropriate products or services.
  • Payments queries from our clients (receipt of funds, executed payments, bank statements, audit trail).
  • Liaising directly with our counterparts for any technical issue particularly in Sudan, Mauritania, and Tunisia.
  • Collation of KYC documentation for existing and new clients, liaising both externally and internally to meet all requirements.
  • Managing LC financing maturities
  • Ensuring timely reminder and chasing for payments.
  • Managing payment of associated LC interest and charges.
  • Translation of documents if required.
  • Ensures that all transactions are recorded in the system completely as well as syndication if it is involved.
  • Takes ownership for client relationship with the bank under supervision of the existing RMs.
  • Prioritises relationships effectively ,and has an appropriate relationship management plan for each customer.
  • Takes a consultative approach to understanding our client's objectives, effectively identifies their financial needs, implements appropriate financial solutions, and undertakes ongoing review and assessment to ensure plan execution.
  • Effectively collaborates with client service team, product team and senior management to ensure an excellent client experience.
  • Anticipates client needs.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures which impact commercial relationships.
  • Understands and applies fist line of defence.
  • This role profile acts as a guide to the role only and additional work outcomes may be required to be performed by the incumbent

Portfolio management

  • Accountable for overall portfolio management, compliance and risk.
  • Monitors direct and operating exposures of portfolio to ensure actual performance is consistent with approved limits —and consistent with the understanding.
  • Initiates timely changes to risk ratings to reflect changes in conditions that impact our customers and the bank's risk exposure, including regulatory compliance.
  • Completes accurate and timely credit actions, including periodic reviews, renewals and modifications.
  • Works in close partnership with credit administration.

Requirement

  • Experience managing FIs relationships, and developing, structuring trade finance deals.
  • Must be a selfstarter, and have the ability to take ownership of high profile relationships while effectively communicating with senior management with supervision of the RMs
  • Prepares, presents for approval; thorough, timely, and accurately analysed credit proposals.
