What does a great Senior Product owner do?
The Senior Product Owner plays a key role in a multi-million pound project to transform Travelport's billing systems.

Using the latest technologies and best business practice you will be part of a cross functional team with the remit to deliver a flexible and scalable billing solution that meets the continuously evolving needs of the business.


Through liaising with SME's and stakeholders, you will gain an in-depth understanding of the current business practices and processes and translating those into clear and defined features for the new billing system.


You will be is responsible for prioritising and building out the requirements and managing them through to implementation as well as being the primary liaison and communication link between stakeholders and the delivery team.

You will identify opportunities to enhance the business process and collaborate with other product owners and cross functional delivery teams to ensure the smooth delivery of the project.


Responsibilities include:


  • Gaining an understanding of the current state through liaising with internal SME's and stakeholders to develop, define and communicate requirements for the new billing system.
  • Translating requirements into clearly defined features and stories, authoring acceptance criteria, and providing product acceptance for newly developed functionality to ensure requirements are met.
  • Managing and prioritising the product backlog and ensure the team is aligned to deliver maximum business value through effective scoping and sizing of planned features.
  • Working closely with the delivery team and testers to overseeing all stages of development.
  • Highlighting opportunities for improvement, challenging the status quo, making recommendations, proposing solutions, and getting buy in from the stakeholders on all major decision points.

Who we are looking for in this role:

  • Proven experience of working as a business analyst ideally in the lead to cash workstream.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills. Must be able to communicate at all levels to ensure that the requirements are presented in a clear, concise and unambiguous manner to stakeholders and the wider delivery team.
  • Essential that the applicant can work independently, prioritise their workload and work under pressure.
