Buyer

Dynisma is revolutionising the automotive and motorsport driving simulator market with its disruptive Motion Generator technology. Our cutting-edge approach to simulator design delivers more data about vehicle dynamics and ride to drivers and passengers with less latency and more accurately than any other motion simulators available.

Our CTO Ash Warne started the business in 2017 after leading the simulator programmes at McLaren and Ferrari F1 teams. We have since grown to a team of over 100 employees, delivering turnkey driving simulators to customers including Ferrari F1 Team as well as a number of other marquee brands.

The role

To support our ambitious expansion, we are looking for a Buyer to join our procurement team. This role involves sourcing high-quality materials and components, negotiating with suppliers, and managing procurement processes to support our engineering and production teams efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet the company's standards for quality, cost, and reliability.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals and project timelines.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and prices with suppliers to ensure the best possible conditions for the company aligned with supply chain strategy.
• Manage and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to understand their material and component requirements.
• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies that could impact supply chain strategies.
• Manage and generate purchase orders, invoices, and delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt of materials and components.
• Address any supply chain issues promptly to minimise impact on production schedules.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of inventory management systems to optimize stock levels.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement department.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Buyer or similar role ideally in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective supplier relationships.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of supply chain processes and dynamics.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiar with ERP and MRP software.
• Capable of working autonomously in a dynamic fast paced environment and managing multiple stakeholders.

Nice to have:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, related field. Or equivalent experience.
• CIPS Qualified.
• Familiar with MS Dynamics.
• Familiarity with international logistics.
