We are looking for compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistants to join various schools in St Albans.

This role involves supporting students with special educational needs, helping to facilitate their learning, and ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist students with diverse learning needs, including physical, emotional, and intellectual disabilities.
  • Work under the direction of the SENCO and classroom teachers to implement effective learning strategies.
  • Monitor and support the progress of students against their individual educational plans (IEPs).
  • Aid in the development of social skills by facilitating interactions among students during class and at break times.
  • Manage any necessary classroom adaptations to support individual learning needs.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in an educational setting, particularly with children who have special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Patience, resilience, and a positive approach to problemsolving.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, are advantageous.
  • An Enhanced DBS check is required for this position.
