The Lawrence is an award winning hotel, housed in a two hundred year old Grade II listed building. It boasts 14 design-led bedrooms spread over the main house and the old stables. It also features The Courtyard bar and restaurant, three function and conference rooms and an outdoor roof terrace. At the heart of The Lawrence is the wedding space which holds up to 80 in the day and 150 at nightWe are hiring
We are looking for a Reception / Event Planner to join our team
Shifts would be
Tuesday 7am till 2:30pm
Wednesday 7am till 2:30pm
Thursday 2:30pm till 10pm
Friday/Saturday 7am till 2:30pm
Main Responsibilities
- welcome and greet guests
- answer and direct incoming calls
- ensure proper room allocation
- listen and respond to guest queries and requests both in-person and by phone
- provide accurate information about local attractions and services
- liaise with necessary staff including housekeeping and maintenance to address any problems or complaints made by guests
- Ensuring we have preorders for events
- Liaising with guests to come up with a clear and well organised plan for events to ensure smooth running of hotel and restaurant.
You will be required to:
- Be well organised
- Have Admin or relevant hospitality experience
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skill
- Have strong maths skills
- Be Familiar with Office programs
Job Types:

Salary:
From £10.42 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Burnley: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
Language:
- English (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
