Process Engineer

Up to £45k per annum DOE

Washington area
Our established client based in Washington are looking to hire Process Engineers to join their talented team. The main responsibility will be to process monitoring and process improvement within their manufacturing departments. You will provide day-to-dayprocess support to ensure product conforms to specification within the required design cycle time.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Ensure all safety procedures, methods, equipment, and practices are adhered to
  • Lead and manage various lean manufacturingrelated projects
  • Understand and comply with all customer specific requirements in relation to process engineering
  • Investigate and implement opportunities for improvement in terms of cost reduction and process improvements
  • Manage introduction of new equipment including writing technical specifications, liaising with supplier, installing, and commissioning.
  • Mechanical design of tooling and fixtures.
  • Provide data analysis and data capture in support of process improvements
  • Lead cross functional project teams to deliver on objectives
  • Provide day to day support for the automated and manual processes including problem solving and fault finding
  • Develop and perform experimental process tests with respect to quality, method, cost, etc.
  • Create and manage process documentation such as PFMEA, control plans and operating instructions
  • Develop and implement metrics to monitor and improve performance of processes
**What we're looking for:

  • Mechanically biased educated to degree level, HND level and significant experience will be considered
  • Relevant experience of working within the automotive sector
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949:2016
  • Excellent communication skills, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Have a solid understanding of procedures, responsibilities and scope of duties
  • Excellent team player
