This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and experienced Operations Manager with a travel background to join a market leader that specialises in Educational Travel and Events.

Operations Manager - What will I be doing?


Whilst the core part of this role is ensuring that the customer's experience is industry leading, pre, during and post trips, it also requires taking ownership of the operational procedures to ensure that the correct processes are in place to deliver currentvolumes and to accommodate the Company's aggressive growth targets.

You will liaise with customers and suppliers to make sure that trips and events are delivered successfully and that budgeted margins are achieved.

You will also be required to travel acrossthe UK and overseas on a regular basis which is a fantastic added bonus As an experienced manager and solutions provider, you will be responsible for resolving all customer queries effectively, no matter how complex or challenging and will drive your teamto deliver the highest level of customer service, adhering to company policies and procedures and upholding its outstanding reputation and company ethos.


Operations Manager - What experience do I need?

  • Experience as an Operations Manager within the travel industry is essential and particularly destination knowledge across Europe
  • Knowledge of the Education Travel Market is ideal but if you have an Operational Management background for a Tour Operator this will also be considered
  • An ability to assess and enhance procedures is essential and will be a big part of this role so previous success in this area is required
  • Proven experience of delivering exceptional customer service
  • Excellent at building relationships and great key stakeholder management skills
  • International exposure at senior level
  • Analytical skills and the ability to understand required group volumes and event P&L's
  • An analytical mind with strong business acumen
  • A problem solver with the ability to follow through tasks and responsibilities to ensure positive outcomes
  • A successful manager with a proven track record of managing, leading and motivating teams
  • Ideally, fluent in another European language
  • IT literate and knowledge of Microsoft products
  • Excellent eye for detail and accuracy
  • Highly motivated and wellorganised, particularly under pressure and whilst working to demanding deadlines

Operations Manager - What else do I need to know?

This is a really exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about travel and who wants to be instrumental in shaping the future of a department and business.

The role is office-based Monday to Friday and has the potential of offering hybrid working.

The salary is £40k - £45k depending on experience plus a 10% bonus, private healthcare and good pension with 25 days holiday.
