COMPANY DESCRIPTION, PROFILE AND SCOPE OF ROLE:
Our client is an established, and growing leader in their sector, with strong and sustained investment. Their service provision ranges from Contract Joinery and fitting to specialist Joinery and bespoke projects. They supply sectors as diverse as Education, Health. Retails and Leisure. The business plays a prominent role with and is part of a major North east based group of companies.


KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Viewing plans and specifications
  • Measuring and quantifying take offs
  • Tendering multiple projects simultaneously
  • Liaising with clients/suppliers in the compiling of tender/Quote/Variations
  • Site measuring
  • Attending client meetings
  • Preparation of Quotes and associated document for submission
  • Timely and accurate costing of submissions
  • Ensuring completed quotes comply with specification and design briefs
  • Client relationship building
  • Following up estimates, negotiating and securing orders
  • Working closely with team members to ensure quotes and deadlines are achieved

PLEASE NOTE**:
Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence, as the role will involve travel.


QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:


ESSENTIAL:

  • Demonstrable Estimating / Project costing experience gained in a similar role
  • Strong administration skills with the ability to work proficiently on MS Excel and other related packages
  • Astute, commercially minded, numerate, and Well organised and able to work to deadlines
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand and interpret plans and diagrams.

USEFUL NOT ESSENTIL:

  • Preferably a relevant estimating / QS / construction / CAD / engineering related qualification or time served / apprenticed equivalent background would be an advantage.
  • It would be advantageous to have knowledge of the key terms of JCT and / or NEC3 forms or contract would be advantageous, as would understanding of the main commercial themes arising in the development and execution of contractual agreements

Details of Package:

Salary £27,000 to £32,000 PA (Depending on experience) + Benefits Inc. 25 days paid holidays + Bank holidays (Hours of work Mon - Thursday 8-00am 4-30pm Friday 3-30pm) Potential For Flexible / Hybrid working (to be negotiated)
