This programme will give you a brilliant overview of what it's like working in the People team. Our remarkable, diverse people make M&S. They're right at the heart of our business, pushing us to evolve and grow.

You'll immerse yourself in our People Strategy, understand how it contributes to the wider business and ultimately empower our people to excel.

You'll also help us to realise our bold ambitions - including trailblazing to become the best place to work in retail.

Over 24 months, take advantage of our people-driven experience as an historic retailer.

Getting as close to the action as possible, you'll spend time in our stores, work alongside leaders, and even take on rotations within our Support Centre and Centre of Expertise.

This is the perfect opportunity to help us shape the fast-moving world of e-commerce, strengthen our business by encouraging the growth of our talent pipelines, and discover both generalist and specialist career paths.

The possibilities within our People team are truly limitless.


Join us and work across all kinds of functions and locations, right across the business, and spend time getting to know the ins and outs of what we do.

Whatever you find yourself doing day to day, you'll be working to build a legendary company that puts people's wellbeing at its heart.


You don't need a specific degree or background to join the People team, but it's helpful if you're the curious, analytical type.

And we'll support your CIPD qualification alongside your programme, via an apprenticeship route.
