Falcon Support Services provides supported accommodation and community projects to those that are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or vulnerable in the community.
Our service helps vulnerable people by providing safe and secure accommodation with our staffworking alongside clients to help them develop their skills, so they can move away from homelessness to living independently and positively contribute to their community.
The Role
This is a Senior role reporting directly to the Deputy and Chief Executive Officer.
We are seeking a Head of Housing Services to provide day-to-day management and development of our housing schemes.
The post-holder must be a strategic thinker with a passion for delivering high quality services, with the necessary leadership quality to embed a high-performance culture across the teams.
Main Responsibilities
- Have operational oversight of all housing services, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and updated.
- Lead and oversee a team of Managers to ensure projects provide a high standard of service in line with the charity's ethos and values.
- Provide contract management ensuring contract compliance and regular reviews in line with our Quality Assurance Framework and set KPI's.
- Foster and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders including Local Authorities, County council, funding bodies and partner agencies.
- Actively seek, develop and manage current and new relationships with landlords.
- Improve impact reporting through the development of robust information management systems and the creations of informative reports for the CEO.
- Work alongside the Finance Manager to effectively have oversight of Housing services such as monitoring, controlling, cost savings, recording and forecasting budgets.
- Negotiating suppliers linked to Housing Management including utilities, using procurement and tender processes as required.
- Work alongside the Facilities and Compliance Manager to make sure we are compliant in Health and Safety requirements for our properties.
- Supporting the Charities strategic objective to minimise the charities environmental impact.
- Work alongside our Support Coordinator to deliver psychologically informed environments embracing those with lived experience.
- Assist with the Charities strategic objective of becoming a Registered Provider.
Because of this, there will be a requirement at times to visit other locations, so a full UK driving license and day to day use of avehicle are essential.
Required- Must be over the age of 1
- Willingness to undergo a satisfactory enhanced DBS check
- Full UK Driving licence and car owner
Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
- Experience in leading and managing teams and a diverse range of employees.
- Good understanding of Psychologically informed environments and a high level of emotional intelligence.
- Skilled at delivering services with a close connection to customer involvement, including coproduction with those who have lived experience.
- Experience across housing management, income and setting Rents and service charges.
- Knowledge of current issues influencing the government's housing agenda/legislation, ideally around Registered Provider compliance.
- Responsibility for managing and achieving significant budgets.
- Highly skilled at producing accurate and insightful reports.
- Strong communication skills.
