Do you want to work for an experienced and ambitious property development group,with a proven track record, that has ambitious growth plans for 2023 and beyond? I am working with my client to recruit a Development Surveyor to work on future projects.

Reporting to the Directors, this is an exciting, challenging and rewarding role with future progression opportunities which match the company's ambition.

The role primarily consists of assessing the viability of development projects, focusing on a wide range of small to large scale housing and apartment blocks in the North of England.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

Undertaking site/building surveys to establish suitability for construction.
Reviewing project suitability for obtaining planning consent to include appointing and liaising with consultants to procure through planning stages.
Monitoring the deterioration or defects of a property and offering advice on repair work
Reviewing legal title of any said land/buildings and referring/liaising any potential issues to our legal team
Commissioning building condition and landscaping reports
Producing schedule of works for potential projects
Analysing high level cost and capital expenditure for any potential build projects
Assessing market conditions and marketability of the end product

Person Specification

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

Relevant RICS or other industry qualification and/or degree in building surveying, with minimum 2 years' experience.
Competence in all aspects of building surveying, including construction standards, building law and regulations
Good understanding of the development life cycle
