    Job title: Project Support Officer

    Description

    Salary:

    £18.18 per hour

    Working Hours:

    Monday to Friday, 37 hours

    About the Role:

    This role supports the delivery of complex engineering works by providing 'Project Support' to those managing packages of work and management information to support decision-making processes.

    The Project Support Officer plays a key role in developing a year-ahead work plan constrained to available resources and funding.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Raising orders for spending on goods and services
    • Ensuring accruals and receipts are in place
    • Managing external budgets and making changes as needed
    • Securing changes to planned levels of internal resource
    • Updating and inputting data for internal resources and milestones
    • Problem-solving on behalf of those managing packages of work
    • Providing supporting information at progress meetings
    • Ad-hoc support as required

    Requirements:

    To be successful in this role, you will have:

    • Previous experience of providing high-quality proactive support in a business environment
    • Strong numerical skills, including data interrogation, analysis, and reporting
    • Experience of using Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel for reporting and analysis
    • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and develop strong working relationships across diverse teams
    • A clear bias for action, with a healthy questioning attitude
    • The ability to complete tasks to deadline and work independently
    • Excellent team player with strong collaborative working skills
