Teaching Personnel are currently seeking to appoint a tutor or teacher to work within Secondary Schools in Driffield and/or east and north yorkshire.

The educator will be required to plan and deliver English and Maths tuition to students working upto GCSElevel. This will be on a 1:1 or small group basis within educational, community and home settings.

Predominantly you will work within the school setting, however you may be required to work dynamicly on behalf of the school and travel to students or educationalsettings such as libraries to conduct the sessions, so access to your own vehicle will be required (Mileage and Travel is expensed) Ideally, this role is suitable for someone with experience of supporting and motivating students in accessing education andovercoming barriers to learning, with a strong knowledge of English and Mathematics.

We expect a minimum of 12 hours availability.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Maths and English as part of a bespoke curriculum
  • Create effective and inclusive resources that support a young person's individual learning plan
  • Produce weekly reports on each student's engagement and attainment, record weekly attendance figures, and attend pupil meetings
  • Liaise with heads of department and school staff to report any issues or concerns.
  • Be kind and supported
  • Have a passion for teaching students with Social Emotional and Mental Health Needs
  • Focus on raising pupil attainment and engagement
  • Have QTS or relevant qualifications in English or Maths

Educated to degree level and/or of Qualified Teacher Status and experience of working with autism and challenging behaviours, you will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every child to reach theirpotential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
