ASSOCIATE RESEARCH SCIENTIST


The Department of Anesthesiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, seeks an Associate Research Scientist with skills and experience in electrophysiology and/or biophysics.

Experience with any of the following would be useful for this position:
brain slice, patch clamp electrophysiology, or calcium or pH imaging techniques. The position is funded by NIH grant support to Dr. Neil Harrison and Dr. Guang Yang.


Qualified applicants must be recipients of a doctorate (PhD, MD, or both) and have four or more years of research experience in their field.

The University offers a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package. This position falls under a collective bargaining agreement.

Hiring Salary Range:
$77,000-$85,000. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
