Are you a qualified Teaching assistant based in, or have easy access to Oldbury in Sandwell?

Aspire people are currently working with a mainstream school in Oldbury who are seeking a SEN Teaching assistant to work within an ASD resource base supporting children from Reception to Year 2.

The small class has been specifically set up to support childrenwith complex ASD needs, the environment is calm and caters for the sensory needs of the students The class has a SEN teacher and 5 additional Teaching assistants to ensure the needs of the children are met and staff have all the support they need.

The role is working within an ASD class setting supporting students with complex ASD needs.

As a full time, teaching assistant, the school will expect you to essentially be a permanent member of staff, so the following is expected.


  • Support students with complex ASD
  • Support the class teacher with daily activities
  • Assess achievements of the pupils
  • Ensure the children have access to the curriculum
  • Liaise with parents
