About the Defence Infrastructure Organisation
DIO is a member of the Ministry of Defence (MOD).
We play a vital role in supporting Defence by leading and running the delivery of what the Armed Forces need to live, work, train and deploy on operations.
Under the Future DIO Transformation Programme, DIO will become the MOD's professional estate services business and realise our organisational vision of providing a better estate, a better service and a better business.
About DIO Overseas & Training Region
DIO Regional Delivery Overseas and Training Region (OS&Trg) provides a range of infrastructure and training support functions across the UK and overseas.
The organisation is Head of Establishment (HoE) for the UK Defence Training Estate (DTE), provides direct training support to UK Armed Forces and wider MOD, in addition to supporting Cadets, Over Government Departments and foreign armed forces.
We provide these services overseas in Germany, Canada, Kenya and Belize, where we are not HoE.OS&Trg is responsible for the provision of a Training Estate that is of the right size and standard against the endorsed need, fit for purpose, safe, well managed, sustainable and sensitive to social and environmental considerations.
OS&Trg also provides infrastructure support functions in the PJOBs and Far East. This encompasses Cyprus, Gibraltar, the Falkland Islands, Ascension Island, Nepal, Brunei and Singapore.Summary of the Role
The Regional Assurance Coordinator will support the Regional Assurance Manager (RAM) and their team at regional level in the UK Trg arm of DIO OS &Trg.
The post holder will work to the respective Regional Commander and RAM acting as a focal point and assisting in the day to day Assurance Duties of the Team.
The successful applicant will be occasionally expected to travel throughout the Region and sometimes further afield, on a semi-regular basis with some overnight commitments.
Due to this post being situated in a remote location a Full UK Driving Licence will be important as travel will periodically be required to various areas of region.

Person specification:
The Co-ordinator will support 1st line Assurance activity on all aspects of contractually required Service Delivery, including DIO's 6 pillars of compliance:
- Fuel and Gas Safety
- Fire Safety
- DSEAR
- Asbestos
- Legionella
- Electrical Safety
Other aspects of the role would be:
- Attend Assurance Visits both in and out of region as and when required.
- Build reports to show training on Private Land taken place within the region in the format of a 21day report.
- Provide figures to demonstrate the usage of training across the DTE.
- Dealing with adhoc requests as the need arises.
- Collating and preparing information for incoming RFIs.
- Support UK Trg regional staff with the scheduling of Meetings and Visits
- Identify, record, assign and track actions arising from all assurance activity, including 2nd and 3rd party, collaborating closely with all partners and action addressees. This will include actions identified as part of Fire Risk Assessment activity.
