Accounts Assistant - Sales & Purchase Ledger - Bristol 28k
My Client is looking for an Internal Accounts Assistant reporting directly to the Finance Director.


This unique position will involve working with both sides of the accounts function and will be a dynamic role in a fun and fast-paced department.

The ideal applicant must have previous experience with both accounts receivable and accounts payable ledgers.

This is an office based role and my client is looking for someone to start within one month


Key Responsibilities:


  • Purchase and Sales Ledger processing.
  • Handling initial payment runs to suppliers.
  • Recording all bank and cash balances, posting to Sage to allocate payments and receipts.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Credit Control with contacting clients for overdue payments.
  • VAT.
  • General bookkeeping.
  • Assisting with any other tasks within the Finance Department.

Qualifications:


  • Experienced in bank reconciliations.
  • At least 1 year's recent experience with Sage 50 Accounts.
  • Demonstrated literacy, numeracy, and attention to detail.
  • Competent with demonstrable experience with Excel.
  • Use of formulas.
  • Filters.
  • Sorting.
  • Presenting of information for management.
  • Capable of selfmanagement and strong organisational skills.
  • Can work well in a team or on their own.
  • Payroll experience with Sage 50 payroll would be beneficial.


The Policy of the company is to allow their team to grow within the organisation and several of their senior management including on the board have started off in similar roles.

Hours:


You will be required to work 40 hours per week, however there can be a high degree of flexibility terms of the specific hours where agreed, and can be flexible to accommodate various personal/family commitments.

£27,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

Experience:


  • Accounting: 2 years (required)
  • Purchase and
Sales Ledger: 2 years (required)

  • Sage 50 payroll desirable: 1 year (preferred)
  • Sage 50 Accounts: 1 year (required)
  • Use of formulas presenting information: 1 year (required)

Work authorisation:

  • United Kingdom (preferred)
