The Opportunity:
We're looking for a part-time
Sustainability Education & Engagement Officer to work within our fantastic education team, supporting and delivering our many and varied programmes, including the Sustainability Leadership Skills Programme, Green Careers workshops, Carbon Literacy and Sustainable Futures for 16-24 year olds.

£28,000 FTE (Actual: £16,800 per annum)
Hours/Week:
Part-time 3 days per week 0.6 FTE (Full time is 37.5 hours per week).
There is potential for this role to grow into a full-time position.
Travel & Work outside normal hours: We travel within the UK to deliver learning workshops, attend conferences or work with our partners. As a sustainability charity, we use low carbon travel wherever possible and encourage the use of remote technologies for training delivery when appropriate.

About the Role:
This is a people-focused sustainability role that will enable you to support real, practical, and positive progress on sustainability and climate change through education and engagement.
We are looking for a new team member to deliver the following:
- Working within our Education team, deliver our Sustainability Leadership Skills Programme, Green Careers, Carbon Literacy, Sustainable Futures and other impactful programmes.
- Develop and deliver relatable and engaging outreach programmes, targeting support at those in less privileged circumstances, ensuring fairness and equality of access to learning for a green and secure future.
- Work with partners in academic institutions and other organisations to develop partnerships and codelivered programmes.
- Attend events, conferences and panel discussions as a representative of Change Agents UK.
- Research new developments in ESD, green skills, sustainability trends as well as gaps in learning and skills for the future to inform education content and optimise learning outcomes.
- Conduct monitoring & evaluation (M&E) and impact assessments for our education programmes.
Required Skills:
- Passionate about using education to combat climate change and supporting people of all ages in working towards a sustainable, equitable and netzero future.
- Experienced in training, education or workshop facilitation and education content development.
- A capable, confident and creative communicator and presenter.
- Able to respond and adapt to audience needs and/or challenges during education delivery.
- An excellent relationship manager, able to build and maintain strong and successful links with our partners for current and future projects.
- Able to conduct research projects and confident in undertaking monitoring and evaluation and reportwriting.
- Committed to professional development to maintain a solid understanding of sustainability trends and effective practice in education and training.
- A highly collaborative, selfmotivated team player with the ability to understand and adapt flexibly to the needs and priorities of a small team.
- Strongly committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Comfortable using the Microsoft Office suite (especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and video conferencing programs (e.g. Zoom, Teams, Google Meet).
- Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding training (as we work with schools and colleges).
Desirable Skills:
- Qualified in teaching or professional facilitation.
- Industry experience delivering sustainability and/or net zero projects within an organisation.
- Experience in designing engaging and attractive learning materials that cater for a variety of audiences and needs.
- Based in Midlands or North of England
