About the role and our team
Join our team as the Head of Risk Management & Compliance for Manx Care


As a senior leader within Manx Care's central Care, Quality & Safety Team (CQST), you will ensure that Manx Care's risk and compliance frameworks are robust, effective and up to date.

You will work collaboratively with the CQST, actively promoting root cause analysis methodology across the organisation, supporting the appropriate investigation of accidents and incidents, and escalation of risks through the organisational risk assessment and risk register processes.


You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the organisation's risk and compliance strategies, policies and procedures; monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of risk management and working closely with senior management to embed a culture of risk awareness and compliance across Manx Care.

You will conduct regular risk assessments and compliance audits to identify areas of weakness and opportunities for improvement.

Providing a comprehensive education and training programme around risk assessment and risk appetite, you will deliver regular high quality reports to directors and senior managers.


You will also be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance across a range of areas, specifically, but not limited to, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) key lines of enquiry.


In order to succeed in this role, you must have a proven track record of delivering against objectives and completing projects on time, be equipped with strong negotiating and influencing skills, demonstrate excellent leadership skills and have the ability to communicate with a wide range of colleagues.
