Taylor Blackwood Associates are hiring for Skilled 6G TIG Welders to join our clients team based in Walsall.

As a Welder, you will be responsible for using power tools and hand tools to fabricate and weld various metal components.

Experience with 6G TIG welding is a requirement.

Details:
- £ £32.50 per hour
hours per week

Monday to Friday
Day/Night shifts available

Duties:

Perform 6G TIG welding on stainless steel and carbon pipes
Review and comprehend blueprints, sketches, or product specifications
Utilize rulers, squares, or templates to measure and mark workpieces, ensuring precise positioning of welds
Configure TIG welding apparatus and choose suitable welding methods according to the metal type in use
Join components together through diverse welding techniques like Butt welding
Scrutinize welds to ensure precision and quality, performing adjustments or repairs as needed
Employ hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and refining metal surfaces
Execute welding tasks to meet stringent quality standards, as products will undergo Xray examination

Qualifications:

Demonstrated expertise as a TIG Welder
Mastery of Butt welding techniques
Knowledgeable in working with Stainless and Carbon steel
Previous or current familiarity with codes is highly beneficial
Mechanical aptitude for precise assembly and welding of parts
Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, sketches, or product specifications
Exceptional attention to detail and capability to deliver topnotch work
Proficient in the effective utilization of hand tools and power tools
