Head of Hair and Makeup - ITV Studios, Daytime

Permanent

Studio Based, London

Loose Women is looking for an experienced, creative Head of Hair and Makeup to run the hair and makeup department of the UK's popular Daytime topical talk show.

You will have experience of working in a live television - or similar fast turnaround - environment, relish working in a creative job where no day is the same, and rise to the challenge of working with the editorial team to produce iconic looks for Loose Women's talked-about specials.

You will have a great personable manner, be highly organised, have excellent presentation and communication skills, working effectively as part of a team whilst remaining calm and efficient under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

You must be up to date with new make up methods and trends and have an interest in the media environment.

In addition, punctuality and reliability is key.

Minimum Criteria:

Extensive experience with styling hair and make up for live television.
Experience of working with a variety of hair types and skin tones.
The ability to run a busy department.
The ability to adapt work in accordance with live television requirements.
The ability to work as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Manage, supervise and schedule members of the team with experience managing a team effectively.
Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the smooth running of the show.
Ensure that work materials are kept in a tidy and secured manner.
Ensure that security, safety and good housekeeping procedures for the department are properly carried out.
Knowledge of employment legislation, company guidelines and policies (including Health & Safety, Working Time Regulations and Equal Opportunities)
