NOW Education are acting as the recruitment partner for a secondary school based in Oldham.

About the School

About the role
We are looking for a level 2 Teaching Assistant to join the school on a full-time basis.

The role will be as a general Teaching Assistant working in the classroom and 1:1 with students that need extra support with their learning.

The role starts immediately and is temp to perm.

The role is Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities

Work closely with the teacher to ensure that the support needs of pupils are met.
Promote the general success, progress and achievement of pupils and report any concerns to the SENCo or relevant teacher.
Develop a range of strategies to engage pupils with tasks set by the teacher
Promote and reinforce pupils selfesteem, appropriate learning behaviour and levels of effort.
Modify resources to support pupils with their learning and development.
Assist generally with classroom and pupil management.
Contribute to the maintenance of pupil records for attendance, behaviour and reviews of progress.
Work with pupils on agreed tasks.

Hours are typically
Term time only
The school is based in Chadderton, Oldham.
Must hold an enhanced DBS on the update service.
An appropriate professional qualification at Level
The ability to effectively support pupils with a range of needs.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to motivate pupils.
Supportive, positive and nonjudgemental attitude.
Good administrative and record keeping skills.
Be able to respond effectively to the pupil's individual needs.

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract, Permanent

Salary:
£70.00-£80.00 per day

Schedule:

Monday to Friday

Experience:

- classroom support: 1 year (preferred)
- teaching assistant: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
- enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred)
- level 2 teaching assistant certificate (preferred)
