An opportunity has arisen for recruitment of a Social Worker to work as a Senior Specialist Practitioner in our adult Autism Pathway which is part of a larger adult neurodevelopmental Service which also covers ADHD.

The Service for adults with ADHD & Autism is one of the largest in the UK. It received the prestigious ACOMHS accreditation awarded by the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2020. This award highlights to staff, service users and carers, commissioners, and regulators of the quality of the Service provided.

We are proud to be the first Service working with people with adult neurodevelopmental disorders ever to receive this accreditation.


Our Service has embarked upon one of the first inter-Trust Partnerships of its kind following the Integrated Care System (ICS) approach of shared leadership for shared outcomes.

South West Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust (SWYPFT) and Bradford District Care Foundation Trust (BDCFT) have joined forces to deliver an Autism Pathway spanning their joint geographical area.

The SWYPFT Team already provides a pathway offering diagnostic and post diagnostic support for adults with Autism and ADHD covering Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield localities.
