Description

Although not exhaustive the key responsibilities will include performing cash management functions for a small Group of Companies; daily reporting and processing of bank statements ensuring the maintenance of good cash flow within the wider group.

Naturally,you will process sales and purchase ledger functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, prepayments, accruals, VAT returns, Corporation Tax, BACS payments, HMRC inspections, internal audits, and Management Accounts.


As an AAT Qualified Finance Assistant, you may have worked within manufacturing, production and or/engineering, with a good understanding of the sector, the business challenges, third party supply and global manufacturing constraints.

Able to work with ForeignExchange FX, global currencies, global taxation and global supply. Working closely with manufacturing and purchasing teams to understand and maintain the financial flow of events.


The added responsibility is to manage and execute both monthly and weekly staff payroll, most of which is taken from a weekly time and attendance payroll system, therefore the need to check accuracy and compliance is key to the success of this task.

Thiswill include the processing of holiday and absence forms, the maintenance and reporting of accurate Staff and Personnel data.

Managing average earnings, national insurance contributions, taxation, pension contributions and calculations, end of tax year reportingand the preparation of information for P11D submission.

This will also include approving monthly payroll figures and importing/submitting the payroll file to our banking software.


This is a highly responsible role requiring exceptional organisation skills, the ability to multitask, demonstrating professional conduct and acumen, producing consistent high standards of work with attention to detail.

If you have prior knowledge with PegasusOpera 3 software, this would be highly advantageous.

Proficient in data entry and Microsoft Office Word, Outlook & Excel you will need to prepare and produce general correspondence, photocopying, scanning and filing of documentation with exceptional verbalcommunications skills.
