Payroll Administrator - Newtownabbey - £24K


Clemence Rogers has a fantastic opportunity for a Payroll Administrator for an established large group of companies based in Newtownabbey.

You will be joining a small, dynamic payroll team providing centralised payroll services for a group of subsidiarycompanies based throughout Northern Ireland, Great Britain, and the Republic of Ireland.

The role involves responsibility for processing payroll on a weekly and monthly basis.

This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established, profitable large group of companies (NI Top 10).


Key Responsibilities:


  • Reviewing and validating payroll returns from group companies;
  • Governing group compliance with payroll procedures;
  • Processing payrolls on a weekly and monthly basis;
  • Providing internal payroll reporting;
  • Uploading pension contributions;
  • Month end procedures.

Essential criteria:


  • Payroll experience processing gross to net;
  • Microsoft office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel);
  • Good organisational skills;
  • Ability to work on own initiative;
  • Proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail.

Desirable criteria

  • 2 years or more experience processing payroll;
  • Experience of Sage payroll;
  • Experience of working in a multicompany environment;
  • Working knowledge of SAP payroll;
  • Intermediate to advanced excel skills.
  • Organised;
  • Positive attitude;
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines;
  • Clear and concise communicator;
  • Maintain the highest levels of privacy and confidentiality.
  • Can foster strong working relationships with different business units.
