Norwich Road Academy are looking for a full time Site Supervisor to join their Operations Team to ensure that the Academy is safe, secure and well-maintained.

At Norwich Road Academy, we are operational from 7am to 6pm, supporting extended school provision from 7:30am to 5:30pm. The successful applicant will be directed to work for 37 hours per week, supporting these operational hours. The daily working hours may have some flexibility and can be agreed at the interview stage.


At Norwich Road Academy, you would be working alongside professionally supportive colleagues and a leadership team with a strong vision and ambition for the Academy.

We have an extensive, historic site which houses a variety of buildings and playgrounds.


Job Summary


This role of Site Supervisor is an essential part in the operations of the Academy and has a valuable role in supporting the educational provision we offer our pupils.

You would be working under the direction of the Operations Officer and Principal to ensure that Norwich Road Academy is kept safe and secure for pupils, staff and visitors.

Our educational environment supports the values of our academy and success of our learners.

As part of this role you would be responsible for:

  • Security of the Academy including locking and unlocking buildings;
  • Complying with instructions, responsibilities and procedures relating to Health and Safety;
  • Site cleanliness, with the support of the cleaning team, and ensuring cleaning materials are well stocked.
  • Undertaking record keeping for compliance checks and maintenance visits etc;
  • Undertaking general maintenance tasks and minor repairs;
  • Directing and liaising with contractors to support the maintenance of equipment;
  • Distributing deliveries and orders;
  • Undertaking porterage and handyperson duties, such as moving equipment and furniture, installing fixtures etc.
We offer a full induction plan and training to support your development in this role.


Skills and Experience
You must be able to undertake basic maintenance tasks and have a general understanding of health and safety procedures.

The ability to use a computer would be an advantage.

Experience of working within a school environment or a similar role would also be advantageous, but is not essential.
