Based in Gosforth and employing a team of over 80 people, our business is led by six Directors with expertise in a broad range of client services - including auditing and accounting, recovery and insolvency, specialist tax, business advice, corporate finance and IT.

Who we are looking for:


  • Ideally a minimum of 3 years' experience working in an accounting practice,
  • Significant experience of preparation of statutory financial statements for small, limited companies with complex accounting issues
  • Significant experience of preparation of year end accounts for sole traders and partnerships
  • Ability to liaise with clients to arrange accounts preparation and resolve queries directly
  • Being able to present a completed highquality file to manager/director for review
  • Ability to working either on site or in the office depending on the nature of the client
  • A good knowledge of the main accounting packages would be expected (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
  • This is a dynamic and developing team so strong communication skills are essential as well as the ability to work cohesively with all members of staff
  • Diligent and proactive personality with a drive to provide the highest service levels to clients
  • Keen to take on additional responsibilities and ambition to progress to more senior roles in the firm
  • Preparation of charity accounts
  • Audit of small companies and charities
  • Verification of grant claims
  • Assisting clients with the input of opening balance adjustments
