An Applications Engineer for Machine Tools Development. This Engineering opportunity within Multi-Axis, Milling and CNC would suit an experienced Applications Engineer or an Engineer with the ability and desire to progress into a customerfacing Applications Engineer role. This is a great opportunity as an Applications Engineer to step into a consultative, training and development role alongside a very experienced team.


The purpose of this role is to provide customers with a knowledgeable, effective advisory service for their machine tool requirements, adaptations and efficiencies.


  • Consultative face to face meetings to advise on efficient use, training and modification requests
  • Project management of developments alongside the sales and design teams
  • Conduct presales technical activities to support sales, including but not limited to technical proposals, demonstrations, media presentations and face to face consulting.
  • Conduct postsales technical activities to support sales, including but not limited to software installations, customer training and reporting on continual improvement.
  • Resolve technical issues and provide solutions
  • You will work on CNC, Milling, 5 Axis, Offline CAM Programming including Inventor and Fusion360.
  • Working closely with sales team to ensure you are uptodate with market developments, ensuring schedules and deliveries are being met
This role will involve UK wide travel including Ireland, with the potential for occasional oversees travel. We do require a full UK driving licence.

This role is in-person, face to face, so you must live in the Yorkshire area willing to travel to Halifaxfor most working days.


We are looking for someone with:

  • Multi Axis 3, 4,5 and Offline CAM Programming, Inventor or Fusion360
  • Ideally from the aerospace or similar sector.
  • Experience of physically running CNC machines, programming experienced,
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineer qualifications or a time served apprentice trained.
  • A great character, clear communicator and team player.
  • Proven ability in supporting customers to deliver the best solutions
**This is a full time role, with flexitime available, Monday to Friday, 4o hours a week. 33 days holiday including bank holidays, free parking, company pension, car allowance / company car and performance related incentives.
