Description

Our client, based in Great Dunmow, is looking for an experienced CAD Draughtperson to work in an Architectural Metalwork environment, this is a temporary to permanent opportunity.

CAD Draughtperson - Summary
Provide clients with recommendations on suitable architectural design considering factors such as building site, cost, and trend. To design, produce building plans/designs using CAD tools and manual technical drawing tools and tecniques.
CAD Draughtperson - Responsibilities

Ascertain design requirements for new constructions, alterations, or repairs.
Draft architecture design based on design requirements.
Present architectural designs to management and clients for review and approval.
Provide construction, time, cost, machineries, and other specifications to management.
Support and guide designers involved in preparing drawings.
Use your experience to review design requirements and determine best design options for building project.
Use CAD tool effectively to draft design drawings including 3D models.
Review comments from management to modify and update designs.
Assess site conditions and constraints for construction projects.
Document all architectural designs and construction conditions.
Update existing design techniques with respect to latest design trends.
Provide project status updates to management and stakeholders on regular basis.

CAD Draughtsperson - Skill sets

Relevant BTec/NVQ/HNC qualification or equivalent
Experience with SteelWork AutoCAD is desirable but an equivalent 3D draughting package will be considered
Experience in designing for the Architectural metal works industry would be beneficial, e.g, staircases, modular work, balustrades etc.
Experience of producing workshop ready drawings
Strong understanding of materials and appropriate uses
Knowledge of building standards and regulations
A full clean driving licence
