Job Purpose
To provide administration for assigned Erasmus Mundus postgraduate degree programmes hosted by the School of Social & Political Sciences.

You will support the following assigned programmes in the first instance:

a) International Masters in Security, Intelligence & Security Studies (IMSISS), which involves Dublin City University and Charles University Prague as consortium partners.

b) Global Markets, Local Creativities Multiple Masters (GLOCAL), which involves Erasmus University Rotterdam, George-August University Gottingen & the University of Barcelona as consortium partners.

c) South European Studies (EUROSUD), which involves National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Autonomous University of Madrid, Aix-Marseille University, LUISS Guido Carli and University of Lisbon as consortium partners.


Main Duties and Responsibilities-2. Provide administrative assistance with the planning and delivery of the teaching programme across assigned Erasmus Mundus programmes, including administrating courses at University of Glasgow, working in close partnership with the Erasmus Mundus Coordinator, School Postgraduate Course Administrators and relevant colleagues at Partner Institutions.

  • Coordinate and oversee the registration and enrolment of students on assigned Erasmus Mundus programmes, including assisting with the conversion of assessed marks from courses delivered by partner institutions, and publishing course and degree results to MyCampus.
  • Maintain accurate student records, including recording student mobility periods on the European Commission's Online Mobility Tool.
  • Maintain programme and course Moodle sites, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
-8. Administer events linked to assigned Erasmus Mundus programmes, including programme inductions, socials, seminars, conferences and graduations.

  • Attend consortium management committees and other similar consortium level forums where required, including progress and examination boards.
  • Attend and contribute to EMJMD best practice meetings and administrative forums.
  • Administer staff visits and exchanges supporting the delivery of assigned Erasmus Mundus programmes.
  • Provide policy and administrative support and advice to the Programme Director(s) of assigned Erasmus Mundus programmes in the discharge of duties.
  • Any other relevant and appropriate duties as directed by the Erasmus Mundus Coordinator, Postgraduate Team Leader or Head of School Professional Services.

Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Knowledge/Qualifications

Essential:

A1 SCVQ level 7, HNC, VQ 3, Higher or equivalent, preferably in the social sciences.

A2 Knowledge of administering and overseeing processes and procedures in accord with a rigorous compliance and governance environment and framework.


Desirable:

B1 Undergraduate degree in the social sciences.
B2 Glasgow University business and student systems, including MyCampus (Student Records), Agresso (Finance), Moodle (VLE) and T4 (CMS).
B3 Knowledge of the structure and configuration of Post-graduate programmes.

B4 Knowledge of the delivery - in relation to both teaching and administration - of joint and/or multiple degree programmes, particularly at the postgraduate level.

Experience

Essential:

E1 Experience in a relevant role (with qualifications or evidence of progression) and development gained from relevant work experience.
E2 Working within a customer-facing sector, including direct contact with a wide variety of service users.
E3 Experience of delivering to strict standards and timescales within a compliance and governance environment.
E4 Experience in the use of financial systems such as Agresso.
E5 Clerking formal committees, including the setting of agendas and the taking of minutes.
E6 Handling, analysing and manipulating data in Excel. E7 Use of the full functionality of Microsoft Office.
