Engage Knowsley are looking to recruit a
Children and Young Persons (CYP) Team Leader.


Our CYP Team Leaders here at Change Grow Live play an integral role in ensuring an effective service provision for our young people by creating a focussed culture, engaging staff to provide an innovative and continually improving service and provide leadership, support, and development to a wide range of staff.

Within this role you'll be leading the Children and Young Persons team, based in our office in Huyton, Knowsley.

The CYP Team has recently expanding to offer our services to all Young People up to the age of 24.

We support young people with their own, or those who have been impacted by their loved ones', drug and/or alcohol issues.


As a CYP team leader you will need to understand that no two days are the same and you should be able to work under pressure, manage a team effectively, and in line with our core values.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week


Salary:
£34, £36,635.38 dependant on experience

Responsibilities:


About the role:


  • Operational line management of a team of staff which includes supervision (with reflective practice), appraisal, performance and sickness management as well as ensuring staff follow CGL and external policies applicable to their roles.
  • Empowering staff to promote hope, empowerment, choices, control, and opportunities that assist young people to reach their full potential as individuals.
  • Work with your team and Designated Safeguarding Lead (if not your role) to ensure that the practices within the team/service enable identification of children and young people who are at risk. Ensure that staff are competent in the delivery of interventions that reduce risk to children and young people.
  • Support staff to improve outcomes through observed practice, providing timely valuesbased feedback.
  • Lead on the recruitment, selection and induction of staff.

About you:


  • Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of developing and leading health and social care services and delivering services which evidence high performance and quality standards.
  • Experience of leading teams who work with children and young people.
  • Knowledge of current legislation surrounding children, young people, and safeguarding practice
  • Able to lead, inspire and develop a team.
