TEACHING ASSISTANT 1:1

32.5 hours per week Term time plus non-contact days

Grade 3 Point 6 - £17,850 per annum

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and creative teaching assistant to support a Reception pupil with a range of global developmental delays and health concerns.

The role will involve working with the child to meet their targets within the classroom environment and individually, using a range of approaches and interventions to support the specific needs of the child.

We are looking for a TA who:

Is creative, reflective and enjoys supporting children's learning through play.
Understands how young children learn in order to support progress.
Has experience of working with pupils with SEND.
Has knowledge and experience of supporting pupils with Global Development Delay
Has the skills to organise and deliver personalised intervention sessions.
Is experienced in creating communication resources for example; social stories, visual classroom aids or prop bags.
Has experience in deescalation strategies and behaviour management.
Has excellent literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
Works effectively as part of a team, including communicating with outside agencies.

Experience of delivering speech and language programmes such as Wellcomm, First Call or ELKLAN is desirable.

Visits to the school are highly encouraged and can be arranged via contact with the school office.
