Hunter Professional is looking for experienced HGV 2 HIAB drivers for their client based in Poole


For this HGV 2 HIAB role, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting building materials around the south coast area.

You will be responsible for operating a HIAB, including offloading building products. This job will include multi-drop, but most deliveries will be in bulk.

You will be responsible for securing and strapping down your load and ensuring that you are following health and safety at all times.


Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to customers
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
  • Verify the contents of each shipment against delivery documents
  • Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Perform basic maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any issues or malfunctions
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle

Qualifications:

  • A Full Valid UK Licence with Category C
  • A Valid CPC and Digital tacho card
  • No more than 6 points on your licence
  • Must have at least a year of HGV 2 driving experience
  • Manuel, Remote, Brick, Hook or Grab certificate
  • Must have previous multidrop and HIAB driving experience
  • A good understanding of building products is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of the UK roads
  • Good Customer Service Skills
  • Clear and concise communication skills
