As a Collections Specialist, you will support the European Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team by developing an effective and efficient credit control procedure.
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting the development and implementation of an efficient and effective credit control policy and procedures, including monitoring credit limits and utilising credit referencing agencies.
- Creating and upholding payment procedures and policies which ensure timely receipt of customer balances.
- Hands on with the full lifecycle of the credit control process and chasing late payments.
- Identifying and highlighting potential debtor issues which may arise in the future, and working with the site accountant to ensure any potential bad debts are provided for as necessary.
- Developing positive relationships with internal sales departments and external customers.
- Providing detailed debtor analyses.
- Reducing the overall percentage of debtor overdue.
- Distributing statements and late payment advice to customers as required.
- Undertaking all hygiene and quality responsibilities to ensure that company standards are met and surpassed.
- Assisting with other administration and tasks by direct leadership team.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a collection specialist and/or credit control.
- Proven and effective credit control skills, knowledge of EU/UK laws relating to credit control.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Teams, and Outlook
- Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
- Exceptional time management and organization skills
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with staff, and internal and external clients.
- The ability to speak German is desirable, however not essential.
This role offers a competitive salary between £30,000 to £36,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus entry into a discretionary company annual bonus scheme.
