What ASEND Tuition Is

We are looking for inspirational tutors in London to support children and young people with SEND. Many children with SEND have been disengaged with their learning.

We support pupils that have struggled to stay in the classroom, who feel too anxious to goto school or whose needs aren't sufficiently supported at school.

We tutor children face to face in a range of settings including homes, schools, community centres and sometimes online.

You may be an experienced tutor or teacher or have experience of working with children in a therapeutic way.

One of your aims will be to support a child at home and re-engage them in their learning, continue their educational development and return to school.

ASEND tuition is replacing school for these young people and is normally part-time, taking place during school hours, five days a week.


Our pupils have a range of individual interests, needs and abilities, and we work very hard to match the tutor with the child who can most benefit from their skills and expertise.

About our Young Person

We are looking for a tutor to support an energetic 5 year old autistic boy in Hackney. He sometimes communicates with single words but is largely non-verbal. He enjoys exploring the world around him and likes water, playing outdoors, colours and music.

Hewould benefit from a skilled and lively tutor who is aware of Makaton and able to provide a highly individualised timetable consisting of movement breaks, sensory activities and messy play.

This is a hugely rewarding opportunity to really make a difference to the life of this young person.

Who are we looking for?

  • Have some experience with SEN; many of our students require someone with experience in working with people who have Autism, ADHD and learning delays
  • Have experience of Early Years learning
  • Be passionate about helping pupils overcome any barriers to learning and difficulties with engagement
  • Be able to build a rapport and strong relationship with children and their families and with colleagues
  • Use a personcentred approach and make the wellbeing, achievement, and progress of your pupils central to everything that they plan and do
