Position Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the teaching and learning process within our school.
Working closely with teachers and other staff members, you will assist in the implementation of lesson plans, provide individualized support to students, and help maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons and activities.
- Provide oneonone or small group support to students who require additional assistance.
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies.
- Help create and maintain a welcoming and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) or English as a second language (ESL), as required.
- Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development activities as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people is preferred.
- Be available to work Monday to Friday, 8.30am
- 3.30pm.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young learners.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fastpaced environment.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or childcare are desirable but not essential.
- Must possess an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate.
