**Community Fundraiser

  • Community. Permanent 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday with flexibility needed)**
    Salary up to £28,000 depending on experience

Cransley Hospice Trust are looking to recruit an energetic and self-motivated individual who has a passion for building long term relationships within the local community of North Northamptonshire.

As the Community Fundraiser you will be the face of Cransley Hospice Trust in the community.

This will involve engagement with individuals, community groups, corporates, fundraising groups and through In-Memory giving, and working with those groups and individuals to help Cransley Hospice Trust grow its fundraising income and local profile.


Based in Kettering, with hybrid working available, no two days will be the same You will equally be as comfortable supporting individuals who want to fundraise, as you are presenting to a room full of students or potential volunteers.

The Community team are here to offer advice, provide materials and be available to answer any questions to make fundraising in our local community as easy as possible.

Building relationships is a huge part of our work and you will work in your local community to grow our supporter base, raise our profile and inspire others to fundraise for us.

This exciting role requires flexibility and in return for your commitment to some evening and weekend work, we will strive to help you enjoy a good work life balance


The role will involve travel around North Northamptonshire therefore you should have a full UK driver's license and access to a vehicle.

Cransley Hospice Trust is passionate about high quality hospice and end of life care being available to all.

We are committed to raising funds that will support and develop the delivery of these services for our local community in North Northamptonshire.


The specialist end of life care provided both at 'Cransley Hospice,' and to patients in their own home through the 'Hospice at Home' service meets the physical, psychological, spiritual and social needs of the patient, their family and loved ones.


In order to continue this level of support and to meet the need for future end of life care, we need to increase our fundraising from £1.

4m to £2m over the next 4 years


JOB PURPOSE AND ROLE:

Engaging our local community is essential to the success of fundraising at Cransley Hospice Trust.

As a Community Fundraiser, you will work as part of the Community team delivering engagement activity to maximise income from the local community.


With your energy and drive to deliver an excellent supporter experience you will work across the fundraising and marketing department, in a culture of innovation and collaboration, to meet and deliver the overall fundraising objectives.


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Working with the Fundraising and Events Development Manager lead on the management and development of relationships with individuals, community groups and associations, faith groups and schools with a focus on inspiring the development of fundraising ideas and initiatives.
  • Lead on the development of our 'In-Memory' programme working with local funeral directors, our online tribute funds and supporting our annual in memory events, ensuring that our local community have the opportunity to remember and celebrate the lives of loved ones.
  • Provide proactive and timely stewardship for individual fundraisers doing their own challenges or taking part in third party organised challenge events.
  • Work with the marketing team to create campaigns to promote and recruit individual fundraisers for our DIY fundraising offer.
  • Organise and coordinate regular volunteerled collections at public and private sites to maximise collected income from the local community.
  • Increase the number of collecting tins placed with local businesses and groups and work with volunteers and the fundraising administrator on the distribution and collection of tubs across the local area.
  • Coordinate Cransley Hospice Trusts presence at local community events such as fetes and festivals.
  • Represent Cransley Hospice Trust externally, speaking to groups with a good level of knowledge about the services Cransley Hospice provides using storytelling to inspire and engage our community.
