I am looking to speak with a Principal Geotechnical Engineer in Peterborough with proven commercial experience in detailed geotechnical design, providing technical leadership on the delivery of projects supporting civil/structural engineering projects acrossthe UK.


My client focuses on the delivery of projects within the fluvial, tidal, and coastal environments, including major flood and coastal risk management schemes and this role is pivotal to the delivery of a range of environmental and engineering improvementprojects, including concept design and detailed design.

They also provide support to Network Rail on projects relating to slope stability and the design for road and rail infrastructure.

As a principal Geotechnical Engineer responsibilities will include the investigation and design of earthworks, retaining walls and foundations.

You must be able scope organise and supervise ground investigations as well as carry out geotechnical analysisand design to Eurocodes.

A Principal Geotechnical Engineer should be confident in the preparation of desk study reports, GIR's and GDR's as well as the preparation of geotechnical specifications for construction works.


Experience using the following software would be beneficial:

  • Geostudio Slope W /Seep W (or similar software)
  • Frew / WALLAP
  • ALP
