JOB TITLE:
Bowser/ Minibus Driver





REPORTING TO:
Duty Manager





LOCATION:
London Gatwick Airport





HOURLY PAY RATE:
£14.25 per hour


ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE


You will be required to drive airside and operate aircraft water and water waste systems, along with hi lifts, minibuses and any other vehicle required.

Full training will be provided This position will involve carrying out vehicle safety checks, ensuring the water service vehicles are regularly sterilized and conform with water audits being carried out.

This role also involves a certain amount of manual handling when connecting and disconnecting from the aircraft. Specific PPE will be required for this role and is provided by the company. Working as part of the team you will deliver an excellent service to the airlines.


Minibus driver delivering the safe, efficient and effective bus transportation of airport & airline passengers (ground staff, crew members and other client groups) between designated transfer points.

This job function will typically operate between multiple point-to-post destinations intrinsically linked throughout the airport journey, through a variety of contractual service schedules, transfers between other on-airport satellite locations and extending to other airport destinations.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver the highest standard of customer service consistently
  • Operating water & waste bowsers safely around the airport
  • Operate any other airside GSE as required and trained
  • Liaising with the cleaning department to react to associated requests
  • Ensure compliance in both airline and airport policies
  • Always maintain a safe working environment
  • Always ensure appropriate PPE is always worn
  • Ensure vehicles are kept clean & tidy
  • Immediately report any incidents/accidents to the management team

Essential

  • A current, valid, full UK Driving License with category D1/D1E
