In addition to capturing workflow, securing terminals, and growing our franchise market share, we offer many revenue-generating solutions that integrate with Bloombergand non-Bloomberg OMS solutions, on both sides of the market.

What's the role?
Bloomberg is looking for a person to join its electronic trading shared services product team as a business analyst. You'll be part of an established and highly motivated team that sits within our Enterprise Product division. You will focus on roadmap planningand development execution including workflow design, detailing specifications, quality assurance oversight, and release planning, to drive the commercial success of the business

Shared Services is a cross asset team that works on the core infrastructure & data of the electronic trading franchise.

It is preferred that you have some experience working within financial markets and particularly electronic trading. The ability to pay attentionto detail, communicate well and be highly organised are essential.

You'll be encouraged to offer ideas to help set the course for our product vision, contribute to the global vision, and then execute on various aspects of that vision.

You'll be comfortable in working with large and sensitive data sets and have a talent forextracting meaningful intelligence to drive innovation and product direction.

You'll also have great interpersonal skills.

You'll be someone with the ability to approach challenges with curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm; someone who has the courage to takepositions advocating change and then deliver.

We'll trust you to:

Analyse large, complex, and highly sensitive data sets with the ability to draw conclusions and provide meaningful insights to stakeholders
Work closely with the Product Managers to develop plans, write specifications and create documentation, including quality assurance oversight, and release planning
Independently manage some projects from ideation to product release
Work collaboratively with Product Managers from other Bloomberg services in delivering a cohesive and consistent platform experience
Interact with end users to understand their needs and to promote our offerings
Actively engage with engineering, client support, data, and product teams to improve production processes and to increase the operational efficiency of the business

You'll need to have:

A highly numerate skillset, with excellent analytical capabilities, and clear visual, written, and verbal communication
Knowledge of financial markets and electronic trading
Knowledge and applied understanding of industry standard data dimensions and related KPI metrics
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of building enthusiastic support for new ideas
Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Experience with desktop API tools and strong Microsoft Excel
Prior product management experience would be advantageous

We'd love to see:

Experience working in electronic trading
Knowledge of the Bloomberg terminal
Advanced technical skills such as SQL, VBA, or Python
Direct or indirect experience working with engineers in a timesensitive environment
