Description
HGV Class 1 Driver
£15.33 per hour
06:00hrs - 18:00hrs (4 on / 4 off)


Responsibilities:

Driving articulated vehicles
Live loading as well as dropping and swapping trailers
Security or loads
Daily walk around checks and reporting of any issues
Defect reporting and damage reporting to ensure timely correction of issues
Daily download of Digi-card
Daily de-brief at the end of shift
Liaise directly with customer and Traffic controllers
Liaise with Operations, Warehouse & H&S
Being an extended part of the customer service team to the customer
Following Standard operational procedures of vehicles and trailers
Working time directive in line with compliance
Zero infringements
Promoting Health & Safety
Cleanliness of vehicle


Scope of the position:

Ensuring all support tasks are undertaken and completed in a timely and accurate manner
Support Planners and Manager
Any other reasonable request to support business requirements


Key result areas:

Communication with other drivers and planners
Accuracy of the information captured & reported
Escalation of any queries or issues


Health and Safety:

To observe the Company Health & Safety Policy
To understand and achieved a high level of H&S standards
To ensure others (colleagues and contractors) also follow and understand the Company H&S Policy


Qualifications and experience:

Class 1 licence
Drivers CPC
2 years Class 1 experience (prefferred)
