We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager with a background within the insurance industry to join our growing schemes insurance brokerage.


Based at our offices in Sutton, Surrey - this full-time position offers a competitive salary plus some excellent additional benefits.

Having a good understanding of insurance regulation is essential, and we are looking for someone who has leadership qualities along with the confidence and abilities to work with a team of managers and Board of Directors.

Your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Displaying leadership and direction by mentoring, training and developing of all direct reports, ensuring this flows through to all levels within the business
  • Ensuring that individual teams meet their targets for service, sales, quality and development
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and ensure that all staff comply with the relevant procedures and processes
  • Take overall responsibility for any customer complaints and ensure they are handled in a way that treats the customer fairly at all times and are handled and responded to within timeframes set by insurers or regulatory requirements
  • Provide monthly operational reports to the board based on performance, including an action plan for any issues identified
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, insurers and service providers
  • Deal with HR issues in accordance with uptodate employment legislation
  • Identify and drive operational improvements within the business to ensure our customers continue to receive the best possible service
